Who are Hillhouse Fellows?

A selective community of ambitious Yale undergraduates with exceptional technical talent, united by a shared drive to lead and build in technology.

Fellows take part in a rigorous yearlong program featuring a hands-on Entrepreneurship Practicum, immersive trips to NYC, and small, in-person dinners with top founders and investors.

They gain privileged access to exclusive summer internships at high-growth startups—supported by direct introductions and tailored resources from Hillhouse’s professional network.

History

Named after the storied Hillhouse Avenue—once called "the most beautiful street in America" by Dickens and Twain—the fellowship honors Yale’s legacy of technical innovation dating back to 1792.

Backed by Yale Ventures and the School of Engineering & Applied Science, and supported by firms like Lux Capital, Sequoia, Greylock, KXVC, and AV1, Hillhouse is an independent nonprofit empowering the next generation of Yale-born builders.

Fellows remain connected long after graduation—supporting each other’s ventures and growth as part of a lifelong network of founders, engineers, and technologists.
